Management Team
Ed Childress, President
Ed Childress has served as President and CEO of Syncro Corporation since 1995. He joined the Company in 1994 as Executive Vice President and General Manager. He earlier spent 21 years with PPG Industries in the Automotive and Aircraft Products Division in both Huntsville, Alabama and Los Angeles, California. His career with PPG included positions in manufacturing, design engineering, and sales and marketing.
Mr. Childress holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles. He is active with United Way, North Alabama International Trade Association, Business Council of Alabama, Alabama Technology Network, Rotary Club International and the Boys and Girls Club.
Larry Fleming, Corporate Vice President, Programs & System Integration
Larry Fleming now serves as Corporate Vice President of Programs and System Integration. Prior to his current position, he led the sales and marketing efforts of Syncro. He also worked over 20+ years in a variety of technical, sales and marketing, and product management with Reliance Electric, Rockwell Automation and an EMS related firm in North Carolina. He recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. He received additional training at the Rockwell Automation's Executive Leadership Program sponsored by Boston Consulting Group. He is active with IPC, SMTA and AUSA.
Jerry Hart, Corporate Vice President- Finance
Jerry Hart is Vice President of Finance and joined Syncro Corporation in 1993. He has over 30 years of financial experience with senior responsibilities in the development and implementation of product management and financial control systems. Prior to joining Syncro Corporation, Mr. Hart served as Controller and Secretary/Treasurer for a national manufacturer and importer for domestic chain stores where he played a key role in the organization of their foreign import office. He began his career with Thiokol Corporation, a developer and producer of tactical and strategic missiles and solid rocket boosters for space launch vehicles, where he served various positions of responsibility as an Accounting Supervisor and Senior Accountant over contract cost. He is a graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Bruce Biggard, Vice President- Engineering & Quality
Bruce Biggard has served as Vice President of Engineering for Syncro Corporation since 1990. He originally joined the Company in 1967 and has held a variety of engineering and engineering management positions. He previously was associated with General Electric. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Valparaiso Technical Institute. He has been active in IEEE and SAE, and currently serves as the Company's IPC central contact.
Ken Vest, Manufacturing Plant Manager
Ken Vest has served as Plant Manager at Syncro Corporation since 1991. He joined the Company in 1973 and held various positions to include, design engineering, plant superintendent and manufacturing management positions. A strong proponent of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement he has attended various training seminars with emphasis on Lean Manufacturing, SPC, TQM and JIT. He attended University of Alabama in Huntsville pursuant to a degree in Engineering.
